This is the first scheme of the new facilities that will host the swimming events of the 2010 Centro-American and Caribbean Games in Mayaguez, P. R. . The design proposes a series of autonomous units that will house the main pools and will be spatially and functionally tied trough a curvilinear gallery. This gallery will also contain a series of patios and service buildings. The main facades are defined by the view of an earth berm covered with vegetation. Although the project occupies almost all the site, it preserves and enhances its current greenery.
